Karen's Story
I spent many years as a Dental Assistant. Then I became a full time mother of three. Tragedy struck in 04'. So it has been an up hill climb since then. I did something that I said I would never do again. I married my friend of 9 years. He still says he got lucky since due to the brain damage. What was I thinking? Oh yea, now I remember..I wasn't! LOL I now have seven children. I am blessed to be here to watch them grow. Life is a gift. Update as of 6/10. I have had to have two major surgeries this year. I am recovering now from the second one. I have been able to play competitive paintball this past year. I felt so good in F...Expand for more
eb. that I even played before I went for my one month recheck. That last surgery sharpened my skills! LOL I am on the sideline of life right now(surgery two weeks ago) but I hope to be back to living, loving and playing each day soon.
Update...12/22/10 After what felt like way too many surgeries...I am on the mend. Being sick was hard however trying to catch up seems just as hard in a different way. I have almost hit the two mile mark in running. Three more to go and I will be even. Now I can not catch any of my children however it it fun to see their faces when they taste victory. I am hoping to enjoy life for a long time.
