Karen's Story

I married Tom Fitzgerald in 1970. We had 4 children. Erin,(Sept. 1971) Tom Jr.,(Oct. 1972) Kevin,(June 1977) Jamie (Dec. 1978). Tom got brain cancer in 1983 and died in 1986. The cancer years were bad. It was hard with 4 kids and a dad that died. I met Bruce Boswell in 1987 and we married in 1991 and are still married. He came with 3 children of his own. ds called us the "Brady Bunch". I had a stroke in May 1999. I don't get around like I used to. We have 11 grandchildren now and have great holidays with everybody visiting and bustling about. They are all still in the area which makes it easier to get everyone together. Work schedules can be tricky sometimes though. Our lives are still a work in progress. You never know what's around the corner.
