Karen's Story
Life
My Spouse
My first mother-in-law introduced me to my husband, Tom Williamson. He is a gifted, multi-talented individual who excels at almost everthing he does. He is a custom cabinet and furniture builder, musician, and good friend. He is also my partner in real estate sales. We have been married since 1989.
My Pets
I have five cats. Cats are great companions. We travel with them when we take our band on tour every February. Amazing how well they get along.
My Kids
I reared my husband's son who was 10 when we married. He is grown and married .
Workplace
I found out the performance field was a hard place to succeed. I tried a variety of careers that revolved around Arts Management from personal representative to managing a chamber orchestra. Along the way I found that real estate could give me the freedom I needed and a great way to make a living. I've been a REALTOR for almost 24 years now. I maintain my voice and sing several genres: opera, musical theatre, and rock. We have an entertainment company, Skylark Entertainment Services, Inc. and t...Expand for more
ouring company, The Snowbird Orchestra and The Skylarks consisting of a girl trio, rhythm section, keyboards, saxes, trumpets and trombone. We make a winter tour to the SW RV and Country Club Resorts from Vista, CA to Mesa, AZ. We do RV rallies, class and military reunions and private parties. Our shows include everything from Greatest Hits of WWII, Fabulous Fifties Review, Girl Singers and in 2009 debuting ON BROADWAY.
I would love to find some high school friends. I am looking for Valerie or Cynthia Schomber and Jan Pagel all of whom were in Mr. Wright's choir with me. Also Pat Root and Bunny Hogel both of whom graduated with me. I received a good start from Sarasota High School, in music as well as scholastically. I hope all of us feel that way.
These are difficult times for our country. Our generation reaped the benefit of people willing to make great sacrifices for us. I hope the character of those people has been instilled in us because we need it now more than ever. Despite what is ahead I walk by faith and not by sight because In God I Trust.
