Karen's Story
Life
Since graduating from high school I have been very blessed. My husband, James, and I celebrated our 36th anniversary in Dec. '10. We have two grown children that we are very proud of. Our son, Chris, a LA Tech graduate, is a broker, and has two beautiful little girls, Emma, &
Gracie. Our daughter,Elizabeth, is married to Jeremy, and they have an 11 yr. old, Zach, and a little girl, Paige, 3 yrs old. These four grand children are the joy of my life.
Before Chris was born I worked as an accounting clerk. I was fortunate to be able to stay at home and devote my time to my family and home after Chris was born. I spent my time involved totally with my husband, children's activities,and church, Of all the things in life I've done, I loved this time the most. It was a job that was truly priceless.
After my children began to grow up I taught preschool (4 yr. olds) and substitute taught all grades. I worked as a customer service rep., reception...Expand for more
ist, and manager. I have taken classes at Bossier Parish Community College over the years.
Now I am no longer working (for pay)and I spend time doing things that I enjoy. I love spending time with my family. As a Christian church is a very important part of my life, as it always has been. I am a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. . I love to read, shop, scrap-book, have lunch with friends, and spend time with my parents. I collect antiques, I love music,(oldies, soft rock and southern gospel) playing the piano, crafts and art. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipies.

I'm no longer quiet!!! In fact, I'm rather outgoing now.
A childhood memorie I'll never forget?
I have many fond memories of times I spent with my best friend, Cheryl. In fact, we still keep in touch.
My hero?
My Daddy. I was raised by the most Godly parents a child could have.
