Karen's Story
Was married for 17 years to a Sylvania Southview grad. He developed a severe mental illness and my girls and I became domestic violence victims that have since built our lives back up and are extremely happy and well. My oldest is 21 in 3 weeks, attending UT as a Music Education Major. My youngest is 15, attending Sylvania Southview, plays flute in the band. I've worked in the accounting field since my Senior year at Whitmer. We have a ton of fish, 4 leopard geckos, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and a partridge in a pear tree (well, maybe a bluejay in an oak tree - lol). I own my own home...Expand for more
in Sylvania Twnship, just bought a new car and doing some remodeling in my house. Weird tidbit of trivia - yes, I could still do the splits up until about 8 months ago when I had to have a total knee replacement. Those days are gone - unfortunately. I have come out of my shell considerably, still a tad shy at first; but not for long - being in the business world - there has been a huge "emergence" of the real me - professional, crazy, ready to live life and have fun doing it!
