Hi, this is Karen (Szitta)Krueger. I have lived in Birmingham, Alabama for 25 years. I was a bookkeeper for 17 years, than switched careers to work in elementary schools as a teacher assistant. I married twice; both men were electronics technicians in the Navy. My current husband Bill began as an enlisted sailor, then became a warrant officer. He served our country for 28-1/2 years. I hope friends and classmates will remember me for being a brainy student, rather than the fact I was painfully shy in high school. I have become an extrovert over the years and I am having a lot more fun! I love reading stories to young children, dressing up in story book character costumes, even transforming myself into Mother Goose. I would like to join a clown ministry and make children and adults laugh, say at hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. I have retired, as of Oct. 2009, due to health reasons. I was getting disability benefits, which turned into social security and Medicare. My husband has retired too, when he turned 62. He restores old cars and looks up parts on the internet and then delivers them to other old car nuts. We have traveled a lot: in mid-Oct to Calif., AZ, to see the incredible Grand Canyon and to drive along parts of Route 66. My Mother passed away in May, 2012 at the age of 92.
