Karen's Story
I have moved back to Clarksville about 3 years ater being gone about 20 years. I spent some time in the Military which I enjoyed a lot until I got real sick and had to come back to the states. I am married and together we have 5 children, one that is 15 that lives with us. We also share 6 grandchildren with a new one due in March. We were raising Silky Terrier Puppies but as of Christmas this last year I had my female fixed. She was having to have c-sections with each littler and it was driving the cost of the puppies up. I still have a male that stands at stud.
I spend a lot of time working on the computer. I am putting together a Favorites Cookbook for friends and family. It started with our famiy cookbook that everyone wanted a copy of and I've just added other recipe's that I've picked up here and there, like Paula Deen, and other Southern Living and some more of Mother's and some that I'v...Expand for more
e just experimented with and added to. We like to eat around our house. I sew and make "Dog Clothes" along with people clothes. I crochet in the winter time when it's not too hot to have the yarn on me; I love to piece quilts. and I read, and,read, and "I love my Kendel" I bought myself one last year and my husband and son had declared it was the best money ever spent. I agreed to get rid of most of all of my other books, and I did. The money earned by the sale was put to being able to load what I wanted to on my Kendel. I think I'm ready to upgrade now. One of the girls got a Kendel Fire for Christmas.
We live a simple life and I much prefer it to a busy one. I don't enjoy crowds like I use to. I enjoy my church and my familyl One of the reasons we moved back was to be around Mom and her husband. They are quite a pair. I still love to sing in church.
That's about all I can think of.
