Karen's Story
Life
I graduated from ODU in 1982, with a BS degree in Elementary Education. I landed a fourth grade teaching position in Va. Beach in 1983. Married a wonderful man, Dale, in 1987. I taught school for 7 years, quit when my 1st child Hannah was born in 1989. My 2nd child, Jacob was born in 1993.
I have been very busy through the years volunteering at my children's schools and our church. I am currently the volunteer Program Director/Facilitator at our church for a non-profit organizatio...Expand for more
n called "RAINBOWS" (religious sect). It's a grief peer support group for children who have experienced a significant loss in their lives. The curriculum is designed to assist children who are grieving a death, divorce, abandonment, deployment, or any painful transition in their family.
Raising our family, volunteering, working with the "RAINBOWS" Program, teaching Women's Bible Studies, boating, camping, knitting exercising, scrapbooking, and gardening keep my life very busy and blessed.
