Workplace
After college - graduated in 1975; I went to work in Montclair Community Hospital (or Montclair Hospital as it says in 'My Communities)in Montclair, NJ - about 4 miles from Cedar Grove, was there for about 11 months. Then I got another job in Livingston, NJ - about 9 miles from Cedar Grove and still living at home at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. I started to work there on July 12, 1976 as a file clerk -entailing in many jobs - just not my own, but helping others in theirs. ng a correspondence classes to become an Accreditied Record Technician-ART (a supervisory position). I graduated - took the exam in NY and passed and got my ART in 1988! I did not apply for a supervisory job in coding, because I like to code and supervisory position, would not allow much time for coding!
To this day, I have been working at Saint Barnabas Medical Center -or SBMC for short-on July 12, 2007, I will be working for 31 years! I have done some per diem coding over the years, but other than those few, I have only been at SBMC. I guess you could say, I like it very much.
