Life
cOUNTING DOWN TO RETIREMENT ON OCT. 31ST. Thirty years and 10 months with DSHS is all the fun I can handle.Have made the 28 year mark on my job. Been delightfully divorced since 1978.. Plan to do lots of gardening. Do more family tree research, and travel to Kansas,Missouri and back to Oklahoma.Connecting with more of my cousins, their children and grand children in Facebook. My only son is now pushing 40., His sons are now 17 and almost 19. He is trucking for J B Hunt back in Washington, Idaho and Montana..
I still live in the woods behind our family lake cabin just north of Eatonville.
Still the hopefull romantic and waiting to find the quality guy to share the retirement years with ,Still letting fate drop him my way.
No longer the shy and silent type who wrote on the newspaper and played clarinet in the Band. Always in the shadows of the guys I dated Dennis Gould and Jerry Akins.. Never did anything outstanding on my own. But through some good friends and counseling , I became a much stonger and more out goi...Expand for more
ng person, after I got to GRCC. I won every office I ran for, took honors in the JC DECA at State and Nationals both years. Was the oldest Sophmore Senator at age 30 . It made up for all the hurt and disapointments from my years at Loyal Heights, Monroe and Ballard. I wish I could go back and in time and be a better friend to a number of people. Now I don't give a rats A** about the people who called me names, made fun of my weight, ignored me , hurt me to my face or behind my back.
They know who they are, maybe someday they will realize the living hell going to school was to many of us. Many of us "un-cool people "survived and have built great lives. The sad fact is many of the" in crowd" are still trying to relive their glory days of high school. The moment is gone, we are never going to be 16 again.Grow up and make a life for yourself. We so called nerds, geeks, etc are really some very nice people to have as a friend.
I truely belive in Karma, and those that treated others badly, will get what's coming to them.
