Karen's Story
If you consider going to high school, not going to class. Then yes. I went to high school. LOL Eventually I attained a GED. I spent the majority of my career as a licensed cosmetologist and mother of 2.
When I grew bored with hair in '99, I worked part time while attending SCC and received my AS. As much as I hated HS, I absolutely loved college. I made the deans list 5 out of 7 semesters. Yeah... Who'd a thunk!
5 years ago I started my own business, Scalp & Skin Works and developed SCALP SYSTEMS, a therapeutic scalp cleansing system which removes excess skin cells, fungal and bacterial organisms enhancing scalp immunity, health and hygiene. on $100 million, I'd give a large sum of it to kids needing Mental Health resources, SJUD teachers, not administrators for classroom needs, then spend the rest on investments, helping others and a home near the ocean.
My best friend would tell you I'm dependable, caring and honest, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aloof.
I share a home with my Mom, which I find conforting and supportive. We help each other. She's getting up in years and I'm developing my business and headed towards divorce.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have organic coffee, an english muffin, cream cheese and habinero jelly, and read my paper/emails before I start my day.
