Life
What can I say..graduated from Western with a degree in History Education..married my college sweetheart and moved to NC when he recieved his commission as an officer in the US Army then got divorced...now Ive found someone new and we have identical twin boys. I love living in NC but I still summer in MI with my family. I love the outdoors including hiking, canoeing, fishing....I love to travel, go to the movies, read and paint.
Workplace
Wow! Ive had a tons of jobs in my life. Started out as a bagger at Meijier then Country Market in highs school. Progressed in college to do night security and sales at Kohls. I worked summers at Trijicon. Loved that job building gun sites! Much better than cleaning machines at Chrylser. Then I became a nanny for the remainder of college...3 years. family. After I graduated and married I moved to NC when I worked stock at Best Buy at night and substitute taught days. Until I got the teching job I have now. Ive taught sociology, law, world history, us history and civics or government in high school. I teach 10 grade Civics now! I lover my job. Im thankful everyday for parents who instilled such good irish work ethinics in me and Jane. I can proudly say Ive gotten tenure and Im the history departement chair person, and leader of TARS ( republican group for teens). Its is absolutely pathetic how little our chldren know about the country we live in. Im so excited I get a chance to make learning our history fun and exciting unlike some of our history teachers.Yet if it wasnt for them, I would have never wanted to make a difference in history education.
