Karen's Story

Hi! I'm sure no one remembers me other than that I was the shy tall girl who got good grades and sang in choir, but my maiden name was Frederick. After working for other people my whole life, I'm finally getting to live my lifelong dream of running my own gourmet food business! I'm too old to be a successful pastry chef but not for anything else! I started by selling at small shows and holiday festivals and I just moved to Redmond. I went to O.C. ng handcrafted Belgian chocolate truffles (Karen's Confections). I picked up on a big trend that no one knew about at the time. I've learned that I love public speaking (something I never got to do before) and I'm having a blast! Do whatever it is in life that makes you happy! I never got a chance to have kids and I think that's the only thing I regret. But hey, no one has time to do everything! Divorce was a good thing for me. People will have problems and family members will die as you get older, but life goes on. Keep your sense of humour no matter what!
