Karen's Story
I moved to the New Orleans area in September 2004 to take my "dream job". When Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005, I was still new to the area and had only recently moved my children down from New England.
Despite Katrina and, more recently, Gustav, our home on the northern shore of Lake Ponchetrain is our home (ironically enough, I live on Westwood Drive). As much...Expand for more
as the memories are fond, and my brother and sisters are still in MA, I don't believe there is anything that would entice me to live again in the north east....but I do enjoy visiting!
My oldest daughter was recently married, and I have one in high school and one in middle school.
I am hoping that there is a 25th reunion and that I can reconnect with some old friends.
