Life
"Been there, done that"
Dad bought a wine grape farm in No. Calif middle of my Sr. year at WCHS so my family moved away right before my graduation. I got married while still in school rather than commute! (nope, wasn't 'expecting'). Seemed like a good idea at the time :) Two brief marriages and divorces. Ah well. Finally got it right, moved to NYC where I married what is now the love of my life, together 30 years now. Twelve years with an exotic handmade paper importer, then owned my own mail-order business for 12 years. Now semi-retired in South Carolina, working for two "temp" agencies. I've got my hubby, kids, dog, garden, genealogy research and my boat. What could be better?
School

nk; didn't date guys from WCHS but from other schools nearby. Average everything is how I saw myself! Much more outgoing and confident now, thank you!
College
Only went to college at night for 2 years. What a nightmare. Lived in Brooklyn, worked in Queens, commuted to Manhattan for night classes. At that time I was a single parent, worked 40-60 hours a week then drove into the city at night for school. Not my most favorite time of life. Primarily took business and French courses as an aid to the job I had at that time.
Workplace
Other than a few temporary/false starts, I've only had two jobs: Asst. Dept. Mgr. at a major paper importer that was owned by Boise Cascade Corp, and then owner of my own mail-order bookbinding supply business 'The Bookbinder's Warehouse, Inc.' which I sold 4+ years ago when my husband retired and we moved). Now, I work for two "temp" agencies when and if the mood strikes me.
