Karen's Story

Life Here goes... I went to UC Davis for undergrad where I majored in Art Studio. I studied French every year and spent my senior year of college in Bordeaux, France and loved it. I was planning to return there when I met my husband one year later. I have been married for five years and we just had our second child (a boy named Henry in addition to our three year old Eleanor) in October 2006. My husband, Amos, finished his Phd. at UC Riverside in British History and is a professor at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. I am currently a French teacher at Danville High School where I teach all levels of French (I decided teaching art wasn't for me.) Well that about sums it up......Expand for more
School Seeing as I don't like to remember high school, I have developed rose colored glasses and all I can recall are the pleasant memories. I remember eating on the hill with Emma, Taryn, Terra, Megan, Julie, etc. I desparately miss Miss Shuler who was my best teacher ever. I often think of her and what she did as a teacher now that I am teaching high school. I also remember Mrs. Turner, and though I loathed math, she always seemed to explain it so well. As for my best memory it would have to be working on a project for Mrs. Freeman's class when Peter Vallejo was playing Bill Clinton and he said that he "never, never exhaled! I mean inhaled!!" That was a really fun project.
