Karen's Story
Life
I've actually done alot since high school. I am currently single (and as they say... loving it), and my job IS my life. I work as a manager for a group home, with nine developmently disabled adults. And believe me...every day is new day... and a GREAT DAY!
When I'm not working, I am the ultimate handiperson; taking care of my home (a "fixer-upper" in the city)and my two loyal beasts: Maggie and Kita. I also have a very spoiled cat, Pewter, who, maintains her own, except for food, shelter and large amounts of TLC.
I have been quite the activist in civic affairs. I am a former board ...Expand for more
member for two neighborhood agencies, and have done a considerable amount of volunteer work for the RPD (for those non-Rochestarians... Rochester Police Department).
Currently, my work position takes up enormous amounts of my time, (perhaps too much?) and I am not near as active as I had once been in volunteer activities. My house... (my second job) requires maximum attention, and will undoubtably be the death of me.
I don't regret a single moment of my 20 plus years since high school. Ok... so maybe if I had won that big lottery.
I now look forward to the "golden years" of my life!!!!!!
