Karen's Story
Life
I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus
College in 1980 with an English major;
also studied in London on the Writers'
Year Abroad Program. Moved to Palo Alto,
California, and worked in publishing for
about 10 years, eventually becoming
Promotions Manager at Wadsworth
Publishing. Then my boyfriend (now of 20
years--never lived together--happily
single) and I started a computer
conversion company, where I worked for
12 years. Currently Marketing
Communications Specialist at Asanté
Technologies in San Jose, Cal...Expand for more
ifornia.
Also officer, Board of Directors, of the
Silicon Valley Business Marketing
Association.
After being overweight all my life, 4
years ago I lost 50 pounds and am a size
6 (still hard to believe!).
I come to Moorhead about twice a year to
visit family. My dad died of leukemia in
1985, but my mom's in Moorhead, sister's
in Fargo, brother's in Rochester--and I
have 2 perfect (of course!) nephews and
2 adorable nieces to spoil silly.
