Karen's Story
I have been married to my husband Walter for 37 and have 2 son: Stephen, age 30, and Anthony, age 26. Anthoy's girlfriend gave us our first grandson Logan who was born in September.
I graduated from Texas State University when it was still Southwest Texas with a degree in Sociology--fairly useless degree.
I have worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1972. Since 1989 I have worked for the National Cemetery Administration branch of the VA. I have lived in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, back to San Antonio, and now work in Indianapolis since 2003. I am now a GS-14 and ...Expand for more
plan on retiring in 2011. During my time in NC and Virginia, we lived in a house inside the national cemetery--very cool and my sons loved telling people where we lived.
I enjoy reading and quilting in my spare time. We are active in our Baptist church.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Suzanne because we lost touch after my wedding.
I was very shy in high school so really didn't know a lot of people very well. I have learned to become outgoing because of my jobs.
I have become an Indianapolis Colts fan -- sorry Cowboy's fans. I have one very spoiled cat.
