Karin's Story
Life
I left Va Bch in 1988 when I married the man of my dreams. He took me to the cold northeast (KODAK Rochester,NY). We enjoyed our time there... "Niagara Falls", Toronto, Skiing, Whitewater rafting, Winery Tours, Nightlife, Continuing College....then we had a little boy..real life came crashing in! What a joy he is!! Our next move was to Charlotte, NC in 1994 to escape the snow. Soon another boy arrived, life really got crazy. My husband continued going to school earning two engineering degrees and worked 50-60 hour weeks, somehow we managed to have another baby...WOW what a surprise! She is a beautiful curly haired charmer. If there are any Bayside grads near Charlotte, E-Mail Me!
Update 2006: the children are growing...Expand for more
quickly! My oldest is now 13, my middle son in 11 and the baby girl is 9. Life is crazy, but fun. We are still married, almost 18 years of wedded (bliss?). I would love to hear from old friends and classmates.
Update 2016: Oldest son followed his father's footsteps and is now in the USCG, stationed on the coast of South Texas. My middle is studying PolySci at NC State. My baby girl is a UNC Tarheel, psychology major, applying for the PA graduate school. Hubby is with an engineering firm located in south west Charlotte. I am on my way up with Metlife. Started as a part time assistant. Became the NC/SC agency assistant/site coordinator, now I am a New Business Analyst for Metlife. Still Jazzercising and I miss VaBch. 😢
