Karla's Story
Life
My husband, Ken, and I have been married 50 years and we have two grown, married daughters and two grandchildren. We have lived in the western US for most of our married life, but we did spend one year living in France in 1980-1981. I currently teach high school English after working 12 years as a university English professor. When we moved (back) to the Seattle area in 1994, I went returned to teaching high school. shing a new campus for the University of California before he became ill. He is enjoying good health in his retirement, for which we are very thankful.
I have gotten "hooked" on genealogy and love to garden as well, although my favorite "spare" time activity is traveling to visit our grandchildren or attending concerts featuring our daughter Mary, who is a professional cellist and who substitutes frequently in the Seattle Symphony in addition to having a full studio of private pupils.
