Karla's Story
Where do you start? I have come to a cross road in my life, I just let my job of 24 years to go back to school for my PhD. I kind of out grew what I was doing and felt pushed to begin a new chapter in my life. When you know you just know its time to move on. Going out at the top of your game is a much better place to fly from. I didn't hate my job in fact I had a really great job. Going back to school is a stepping stone to my next big adventure. School as always helped me plan my next steps.

. This technique is called encaustic painting. It is a very old process used by the Greeks originally. Had my first art show last year in Brighton Michigan at a place called Mixed Elements.
I also opened my own businesses last year. A small operation making hand made body creams and butters. What a growing experience that has been. So I guess not much has changed for me I'm still manic as ever. Happy in life and in marriage. Second time a charm. I have 3 step children that are all grown up now and on their own. I also have two grand babies! I don't look like a Grade Ma yet.
