Karla's Story
Life
After living in Williams, Arizona for 8 years; I am now back in Texas (Midland); moving to Houston in January 2010. I have three sons; Shayne (24) College - University of Texas-Permian , Shelby (27) living in Indianapolis and Tyler, my angel. My third grandchild was bone in July 2009 (a little girl) Avonlea, joining Beckett Avery (March 2007)and Sawyer Andrew (July 2005) - Shelby's children. My parents are living in the Phoenix Area - we are spread out pretty good.
Now that we are moving I won't get to Dumas as often as I like. My grandmother still lives in Dumas and we have quite a few friends still there I still keep in close touch with Cheryl Moore, Kym McDade and Risa Rowell Fulce. I don't get to Sahuarita very often although I still have family there - Jeanne, Tommy, Brian and Brandee Testerman and their families.

ve connected with several old friends.
On October 27, 2007, I married Aaron Witt (funny enough we connected through ClassMates.com). Aaron has a son, Tyson (27) that lives in Phoenix. We love working together in our house, cooking and working in the yard. For those of you that do not know Aaron; he is originally from Dumas as well. We knew each other from there; but didn't really know each other.
Workplace
01-present I am employeed with El Paso Natural Gas as an Engineering Field Project Manager, transferring from Flagstaff, AZ to Midland, TX.- I will be transferring to Houston as of January 2010 as Business Process Analyst with the Pipeline Services Group.
98-01 Previously I was Asst. Finance Director for the City of Dumas (Texas). I loved my co-workers and miss them greatly.
89-98 I owned my own retail liquor store and a screenprint/signage business (simultaneously)in Dumas. I miss the customers and flexibility of my hours; however I do not miss the headache of the state/local/federal bureaucracy and regulations/compliance involved.
