Hey all, it's been a long time! Guess you could say I kinda fell off the face of the earth after graduation. Well I am now in Indianapolis, IN, finishing up my Master's in Health Sciences at Butler University. I know, how lame, I am STILL in college! But it will be worth it when I finally get done!
Anyways, no kids, not married YET, however I am engaged to Matt Leigh. He is from Sterling and graduated 1997. We met the summer of 1999, and I have not let go of him since! We have been engaged for 8 years, and we are going to finally get married in November 2008 (yeah that would make for a 9 year engagement in the end)!! We already bought a house in Sterling. He is holding down the fort, and taking care of our dog, Cody, while I finish up school over here in Indy - I MISS MY BOYS!! It sucks, but we do get to see each other about once a month. He has been really great through all of this, even through me changing my major 3 times! I ended up going with a Master's in Health Science so that I can become a Physician Assistant. I am trying to nudge my way into the Sterling Rock Falls Clinic in Whiteside County. I like the Family Practice setting, you get to see more and experience more then a speci...Expand for more
alist would. Also that is where mid-level practitioners are most needed. So I might come across some of you once I start working, just hope that it's not under too terrible of circumstances.
But we are not sure where we are going to settle yet. We plan on selling our house shortly after I graduate and then buying the house of our dreams out in the country! Matt used to work at Double G horse farms in Sterling, so he wants to get some horses right away, so that will probably come before the kids! But I am not complaining, I have always wanted horses too.
We plan on starting our family two years after I start working. I want to be totally settled and prepaired when I decide to bring a little one into the world. Plus we are planning some trips before we have kids, since we have never officially been on vacation together, other than camping.
So other than that, not much has happened since graduation. But things have been so great! I am so happy, and have no regrets. But I really can't wait to move on from school, I want to get on with my life and have a family and a career. Because my biological clock is now screaming at me and my student loans are about equal to a really really nice house!!!
