Katcia's Story
I worked in Purchasing at a Dotcom with an old Woodburry Classmate. Became a mom and got married to a great guy who also worked at the Dotcom. Of course not all of this happened in that exact order. Now I am a Senior Buyer for a privately owned manufacturing company, after taking a four-year break from my career to be mom.
My daughter is in middle school and completely opposite of what I was. She is focused on grades, swimming competitively, and being a social butterfly! She made the varsity team in seventh grade and placed in the top 16 (13th) for 2AA Section Finals on her 500 Free, along with acquiring a letter jacket for Christmas from us to put her letter & bars on. She also swims club, and is in the water at practice at least two hours an night, six days a week.

r and I like to go cycling. I have a Mountain Bike, Road Bike, and Snow Bike (Surley - Pugsley). My husband is the proud owner of 7 bikes, and my daughter has two. I also enjoy my ¿girls¿ dinner night with two of my good friends from Middle School. Of course we have said we'd do it monthly, but with the families, it ends up to be almost quarterly.
One of my old friends from the Dotcom days described me best a few weeks ago, "You turned out to be a SUV driving Soccer mom!" Of course, I corrected him and said, "You mean Swim mom!" As anyone that has been a competitive swimmer or a parent of one, knows that there is a HUGE difference!!!
Life for sure did not turn out exactly how I expected or planned it, but I wouldn¿t change a thing! I have great friends, family, and co-workers - they all make the challenges and joys of the career, family and parenting worth it!
