Katharine's Story
School
I thought that I really hated high school, but looking back it was such a unique school. My favorite teachers were Mrs. Pigo, Dr. Einem, Mr. Russo, and Nancy our gymnastic's coach. I still have fond memories of the freedom we go as far as we wanted, and that molded my attitude toward life. I have fond memories of running laps around the school in a garbage bag. This was our gymnastic coach's great idea of training. He was the football coach as well. I remember Dr. Einem and his colored chalk and his weird laugh and sense of humor. Of course Fraulein Pigo and her enthusiasm and creativity on how to teach four levels of Russian in one period. The trip to Russia was an awesome ...Expand for more
experience. Too bad they tore the building down. Wow, it really makes you feel old!
Workplace
After college I worked as a Russian linguist for the National Security Agency. Then I got married and had six kids. I stayed home pretty much to raise the kids. When my youngest reached school age, I decided to go to law school and became an attorney. I work for a small firm in Towson in general civil litigation. Just about a year ago I contacted two of my buddies, Nell (Carone now) Suttle and Debbie Huebner. Carone has her own gymnastic's business in Florida and Debbie is in Texas and is a horse trainer. I wonder what others are up to. I have wanted to attend a reunion, but haven't yet.
