Katherine's Story
Hi, My name is Kat, I am currently living in San Diego and attending college working on my SECOND degree. How silly is that? I am 51 years old attending college with 20 year olds.
I graduated from Mission Bay High School in 1975. Joined the Navy and became a Dental Prosthetic Technician. I was stationed on Guam from 5/76 - 11/77. After Guam I was sent to Balboa Naval Hospital until my discharge from the Navy 11/79...Expand for more
. After the Navy, I attended San Diego Mesa College 1981-84, after attaining an Associates in Life Sciences I returned to Prosthetics my first love "MAKING PEOPLE SMILE". After 20 years of making people smile my doctor told me I have arthritis in the 3rd joints of my thumbs from repetitive movement which ended my career of making people smile. So here I am back in college studying to be a cardiovascular technologist.
