Kathleen's Story
Kathleen is from Fairborn and lives in Centerville, OH. She is married to Don Rader, Class of 1966. Her schools include Fairborn High School. She later attended Bowling Green State University (Sec. English, DD. SLD, SBH, Student Teacher-Inner City Toledo, OH) for BS and received her MS from University of Dayton (Sec. English, Reading Supervisor). She works(ed) at Fairborn City Schools, Sinclair Community College, University of Dayton, English Teacher, directed the Flyerette Corps, coached the Power of the Pen Interscholastic Writing Team, advisor for NHS, student leadership group, drama. Has a bichon frise, Arielle. At one time a very busy educator, teaching English at FHS until she had to take a disability for SLE after 22 yrs. of teaching. Disability is in no way like retirement and not being able to have anything to do with education is heartbreaking.
Kathi's interests include reading, writing, researching, traveling, LUPUS Awareness and Research, Ice skating, UD Basketball, UD Alumni, Bowling Green Falcons football, BGSU Alumni, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michelle Kwan, Dorothy Hamill, Mary Lou Retton.
