Kathie's Story
Life
Greetings...I grew up in Paradise Hills, San Diego, California, moved away for a few years in my early teens and lived in Boulder Creek, Santa Cruz, California... I went to college in North San Diego California and have worked mostly in Orange County California except for a stint in San Antonio, Texas (about a dozen years). Often I've wished I could reconnect with old friends, neighbors and classmates who may share some of the same childhood schools and neighborhood twilight memories as I (although must admit, faded memories slightly dulled by time). I currently reside in Riverside county. Life has been pretty good to me and has blessed us with six grandchildren ranging between the ages of 1 to 26 years in age. My two grown children, Robert and Tiffany lived near by and we had lots of get togethers. Since Covid we don't see them and Tiffany has moved back to Texas. Our hobby was boating, we had a small 23' sloop we named 'Featherfin' where we raised our amazing dog, Shadow, a black border collie/lab who was an excellent Frisbee dog. I'm not real sure what all should be included here but I also write poetry, have joined the new craze of blogging and love online games. I'm passionate ...Expand for more
about the environment and keeping our oceans clean stretching our Earth's resources for future generations to enjoy life on this beautiful blue planet. I am proud my bloodline connects me to the Native American tribes, Choctaw and Chickasaw and believe we can learn so much from our ancestors, especially about nature and our Earth. For relaxation I like to get down on my knees and do a little gardening on pleasant days. I had a heart attack, runs in the family.... doing fine now, could be even better if I would lose forty pounds. That about sums me up. I'd love to be reconnecting with so many others, like my neighbor across the street Pam B (San Diego) and Pete and Dennis (Felton) who had the coolest cars on the lot at San Lorenzo Valley high... those sure were the days listening to Elvis, swirling hoopla hoops and playing games like Monopoly and Scavenger Hunts, sleepovers every weekend, community dances, Sunday school and singing in the choir. My husband of 50 years now has terminal Cancer and it's been a struggle these last couple years. (2021) Jim finally lost the battle to Cancer and flew with the Angels Oct 1st, 2022. I'm sure he is watching over me. Step in Sunshine! Ciao.
