Kathie's Story
Life
Since high school, I studied cosmetology and after a few years I started my own salon in downtown Rochester. I later sold the first salon and opened a new salon in Shelby.
I have 2 beautiful girls, Carly (17) and Savannah (12). They are both at catholic schools. Carly, a senior this year at Shrine H.S. in Royal Oak and Savannah is in 7th grade at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Beverly Hills, MI, where we currently live.
We have a cute little cat named Phoebe, she is 6 years old (got her when my youngest started 1st grade...empty nest syndrome). She was born under my friends deck and was rescued. We also have 10 gerbils (don't ask!) and one parakeet.
I am married to my long time best friend, Gary Gosine (Fitzgerald 1974). We met when I was 16 and we were literally best friends, until one day we realized we were more than friends, but it still took until age 25 to get married. We have been married now f...Expand for more

My husband, Gary owns his own engineering lab, he is a quality control engineer. His field is precision dimensional measurement. (very high tech, cad stations, computer controled measuring machines.....) It has been a struggle for him these last few years since the economy took a nose dive. But through the grace of God we have been able to keep our girls in Catholic school and provide a good home for all of us.
I have since sold both businesses, especially after the birth of my youngest daughter. I had alot of health problems after she was born and had to quit for awhile. Now, I still do hair, locally and am very busy!
We have lived in a few different places since Warren. We built a new house in Macomb in 1987. We then moved to Algonac on Lake St. Clair in 1990. But, by 1995, when my husband opened his shop in Wixom we moved to Birmingham (rented) then bought a home in Beverly Hills, MI.
