Kathie's Story

Hello, old friends. Kathie Veteto here. I'm, yes, just as old as you are, but I don't feel it yet, how about you? I have two kids, Tracy Gemmill Saxhaug (29) and Brian Gemmill (34). Tracy is a police officer in Fishers. Brian has just returned from Afghanistan and is at Ft. Campbell, KY. I was married to John Gemmill (WC '63) for almost 20 years and we had two great kids. I have been single for over 20 years and have a good life. My kids are the greatest people in my life and I now have two amazing grandchildren, Branton -- age 9 (named after my father) and Emma now 3. I have lived many places, but have been back in Ind...Expand for more
y for over 20 years. I retired in October 2007. I wondered if I would like being retired, as I have a very low boredome threshold. I haven't been bored yet. In the last three years, I have renewed contacts with some of my "old" best friends. Now a group of almost 10 of us meet for dinner once a month. I have come to learn that in many ways that the friends I have made since graduation are still not as great as are the "old" ones. We have had many dinners remembering great times. I hope that others would like to join us in our dinners. We really have great times. If you would like to join us, contact me. Kathie Veteto

So we speak of proms and Joe Sylverster. Here is my picture of Joe and me at the Jr. Prom, May 3, 1963 at Miramar Club. Theme was Eifel Tower. Went to Jong Mae's for dinner. Turkey Run was the next day. Joe never resp

So, I'm back from Boston. Got to spend time with my son and family. Always great. Hobnobbed with the founders of our country, witches in Salem, and great NE seafood. But it is always great to be home. My greatest physi

Can't beat fresh New England lobster on the dinner table in Natick, MA.
First day of Winter. First snowfall. First fire in fireplace. Shopping done. Packages shipped. Everyone happy. Mayans wrong. Life is good. Merry Christmas everyone.
Great lunch with OLD GIRLS. It was wonderful to have Mary Ann Banta-Irwin with us today. Still looking great.
Fun night out line dancing with Georgia Pelfree Brown! Just country gals at heart!
For all cat/dog lovers. I've had three cats and have spent $$ buying them soft cushy beds, which they all dissed. Now this one has picked a piece of packaging styrophome as his sweet place. Really, dude! How tacky!
I just had to reduce that turkey down to stock and pressure cook for the next year.
We may be tired if it. But it's really beautiful. New snow in Indy.
