Kathie's Story
Well, I knew there was a reason why math was not my favorite subject! I was a creative thinker then, and am still a creative thinker now. I spent a good part of my life working as a TV Producer/Writer for KFCB Family Christian Television/channel 42 based in Concord, CA the decade of the 80's.
In 1990 moved with my husband and family to Yakima, WA. I worked for awhile for a TBN Network Affiliate here, CBY-TV as a Producer and on-camera talent, but then in 1994 went into Real Estate, and became a GRI and Realtor, CRS. ehold/ family in Yakima. Eldest daughter, Yvonne Blackwood Heffel, lives in Alamo with her husband Jeff, and continues her career as a Personal Trainer.
Currently, I continue in Real Estate, managing my properties, sometimes traveling and speaking, and doing television appearances. In March of 2011, I was awarded "Professional Woman of the Year-2011-12" by the National Association of Professional Women out of NYC. It was mainlly for my work with At-risk youth and authoring EXTREME TEEN RESCUE, used by people who do this work also, around the USA.
