Life ALPACA's - To know them is to LOVE them. Three years ago, I got my first Alpaca. Didn't know to much about them. He (Rodney, cause he looks like Rod Stewart) was given to me as part of a "package". So, I decided to find out what I could about these strange animals. og). The name of my ranch is "Ace of Hearts Alpaca's". Alpacas are prized for their fiber (not wool, or hair, or coat). Alpaca fiber is 10x warmer than wool, and alot of the big designers (Armani for example) are begining to use alpaca fiber in their clothing. It is as soft as cashmere.
