Kathleen's Story
Aloha, my family moved to Maui in August of 1970. It is very different in many ways from GP. My fatherin later years kept a cottage in Goodhart, north of Petoskey, near Harbor Springs. I felt fortunate to be able to take my two sons there. They always got a kick out of it. One year, my brother Eric and his kids were there too and the young boys enjoyed catching chipmunks. Catch and release naturally. Hawaii is isolated and many of the native birds have died out. We are on Maui rich in imported deer, wild turkeys, and pigs. retinologist for several years, but has since retired. We are all hunkered down from fear of the coronavirus at present. Big brother Brian lives in California now, working for FEMA. No kids of Bott blood, but through three wives got one step each. Eric has been a hare krshna pretty much since he graduated in 1972. Also on his third family, however his four kids are his . He is also a two time grandfather, and teaches at a high school in Honolulu. I worked in several health care jobs, ten years as an EMT, and various restaurants, typical for Hawaii kids. I am the only one of the seven of us to have stuck with Maui along with my mother who hit 98 this month.
