In my twenties, I appraised real estate & played in numerous nightclub bands around the San Diego area, most notably a band called Shondra & the Source. I played keyboards & sang backup with Shondra for about 4 years (part of that time with Clairemont High alum Bob Sale on drums). In 1989, my husband Craig went to McCormick & Schmick's in PB with his cousin & friends and saw me playing in the band. After coming back for two more nights, he asked me out to lunch & the rest is history.... We got married in 1990, Alicia was born in 1992 and Kevin came a little earlier than expected, in 1993. We moved to San Jose in 1997, where we stayed for about 4 years, during which time Craig began managing and financing projects for non-profits. Our company, CBO Financial, eventually grew & evolved and added Community Development Funding, then moved to Columbia, Maryland; both companies are still in the business of building and financing facilities in low-income & distressed communities. Our daughter Alicia is 16 now & just got her driver's license in August (scary!). Actually, she's a good driver...but the weather around here takes a little getting used to with the freezing rain, snow, etc. (this time of year is when we really miss San Diego!!).
