Life It was a dark and stormy night..., no wait, it wasn't, it was early morning; but none of that matters now. Graduated SPHS 1968, thought I was going to Hofstra, started to worry about the expense (I laugh at that now after paying for two kids in Fordham and NYU), and decided to go to Queensborough Community College. Finished there in 1970 and was slated to go to Queens College. Changed my mind again because I knew I was getting married and thought the responsible thing was to get a job and save some money. I married Al Kaminski, who I started going out with in high school in 1971 and we are still married and still talking to each other 50years later. He was a member of the class of '65 and we often hear from people in his class - they have had several reunions, all of them fun. I digress; went on to work at some really interesting places, like Time Inc. Ridgefield Police Department, Virgin Atlantic Airways over the years. While I was working for Time Inc. I went back to school full time (this time Fordham in the Bronx). Time Warner was generous enough to pay for my degree while I was working there. Had two babies while I was in Fordham, the last one born two weeks before my graduation. I surprised myself and graduated cum laude; it seemed like a piece of cake to me after high school, and this I will never understand. We lived in Garden City for 12 years, then moved to Ridgefield, CT for 18. Found ourselves to be empty nesters but ended up moving to a larger house in Sandy Hook, CT.
