Kathleen's Story
Life
After graduation, I moved with my family to Heber Springs, Arkansas, with my father's job. Talk about culture shock!! Went to the Universty of Central Arkansas, got my BSE (85) and began teaching health education and physical education at the middle school (6-8 grades) in Heber Springs. Also did some coaching. I also received my MS in '90. Received "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in '89, '92. I Enjoyed teaching, but didn't like the politics in a small rural community. I Taught for eleven years and decided it was time to make a change.

of Education in 1996, working in the Office of Comprehensive School Health. I work with teachers and school districts to help implement health education and HIV prevention education curricula and programs. All funding is through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. It provides me many opportunities to travel, both in-state and out-of-state.
Never married, (but still looking). I have two labs, Casey (black) and Zeke (tan), that keep me company. I recently (June 2000) moved into a brand new home (my first!) in Conway, that puts me much closer to my work in Little Rock.
