Kathleen's Story
After graduating from DeSales in 1966 I went on to Slippery Rock State College (now University), majored in English, and got my B.A. in 1970. That same year, I moved to New York City where I still live today. I started out working for McGraw-Hill publishing company and eventually found my way to Pfizer Inc, where I worked as a pharmaceutical editor for 32 years. Although I'm now happily retired, I still do freelance pharmaceutical editing. ater happening everywhere from Broadway to a tiny storefront space on a side street. My favorite is Shakespeare in the Park, which is produced in an outdoor theater in Central Park every summer. Some friends have recently moved to Florida and are trying to persuade me to do the same, but I actually think I'd miss the snow -- besides, I don't have to shovel it!
I do miss Pittsburgh sometimes, and I still support the Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers. I get back to Western PA about once a year. I have a niece and two nephews who still live in Greensburg PA with their families.
If anyone would like to get in touch, send me a note. I'd love to hear from you!
