Kathleen's Story
Life
My older daughter Kirsten ( a Registered nurse) & her husband Kenny made me a grandma to baby Gavin in Sept. 2005. My younger daughter, Heather, after dancing in Disneyland for over a year has returned to Towson to finish her degree switching from Dance performance to Arts management.
I am very active in Olivet U. M. Church, just stepping down from a dozen years as lay leader. And leading Discpile classes.
I have four cats: Cuki; Pumpkin and twins Vinney & Maisey.
Workplace
Started out as an Elementary School Librarian serving two large elementary schools in rural Maryland. Then went to be Library assistant at the local Hospital. From there I moved to the Public Library as Outreach services librarian and later added doing Interlibrary loans and reference. nt to improve the non-fiction collection at the main library in Somerset County (Md.). From there I moved to where I am today running an academic research library which is part of the University of Maryland system. I have had the opportunity to do a lot of traveling to conferences and seen many places I'm sure I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Meeting in many mainland U.S. locations such as Cape Cod,Ma; Mystic Ct.; Williamsburg, Va; Miami& Sarasota, Fl; Galveston & Port Aransas, Tx; Newport & Portland, Or.; Charleston, SC; Bermuda; Hawaii; Victoria Island, B.C; Newfoundland; Iceland; Southhampton, U.K. (went to Stonehenge); Brest-France added on Quimper and Paris; Rome-Italy added on Venice, Florence, Naples and Pompeii; Mazatlan, Mx; Tazmania added on Sydney & Great Barrier Reef. Looking forward to meetings in Brussels, Brazil and Africa.
