Kathleen's Story
Life
After high school, I went immediately to college at William Jewell College. That following spring, I was recruited to do a summer mission trip in Yellowstone. That marked a big change in my life. I fell in love with everything about the outdoors. I even dropped out of college for three years to work at ski resorts and a second summer in Yellowstone. I finally returned to college in Colorado (spending spring break in Jamaica on a mission trip), but finished at Columbia College in Missouri. While there, I started working for IBM. I left IBM to do computer consulting in Chicago. The money was fantastic, but I (mostly) hated living in Chicago. moved to Boise, Idaho. I now work for Micron Technology managing web servers.
Somewhere along the way, I met a wonderful man from Wyoming. We were married in 2002 and welcomed our first child, a daughter, in 2005. A son followed in 2007. Our family is rounded out by one calico cat. We have a great group of close friends with whom we enjoy playing games (especially German ones) and doing outdoor stuff like camping. We also love sailing and spent a week on our own sailboat in the San Juan Islands in 2004. We've also sailed in the Virgin Islands; backpacked in the UP, Banff, Glacier National Park, Oregon and Idaho; gone whitewater rafting in North Carolina and enjoyed many other exciting outdoor trips. My husband is a deacon and the treasurer in our little church.
