Kathleen's Story
LIFE
I've been married 34 years to the greatest guy in the world. We have a Construction business which I have helped grow. However, I no longer work with Kim (my husband) because my own career is full time with many overtime hours every week.
I have been blessed with three wonderful children 2 girls and 1 boy.
My oldest daughter (Kimmi) is 33 and is a regional CFO for a company in Salt Lake City, Utah and works as a realtor in her spare time.
My son (Kasey) is 30 and works with his father in the family owned construction business.
My youngest daughter (Kitty) is 27 and has graduated with a degree in business. She competed in SNOWBOARDING during her Jr. High and High School year. She graduated from High School 1 ý years early and when to collage receiving a degree in business. Shortly after completing school she opened a snowboard and skate shop. The shop did well until the economy turned things upside down. While she owned her store she met her husband and had the cutest little boy. After closing her shop and having a child she decided to go back to school to be an Air Traffic Controller. At this time she is waiting to get picked up by the FAA.
SCHOOL/Work
Believe it or not I have a degree in Electronic Engineering and Technology. I graduated one of the top of my class.
WORK
During...Expand for more
the first year of school, I was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Unfortunately I quit one year later. I then worked for a company called OHMEDA manufacturing medical supply electronics. This was a great job working on the development on new technology. In 1993 my mother was diagnosed with cancer and I quit my job to help her and my dad cope with life. As life became more normal I went to work for Circuit City for a year and then worked for Micron Electronics for a year. With a lot of hard work I finally ended up back at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) where I am currently employed. I have a great job working with not only electronic engineers but with air traffic controllers. I was just promoted to NAS (National Air Space) specialist in the SOC (system operations center). My job can be easy and laid back one minute and the total chaos the next minute.
Time off of work and life I like to PLAY.
My family and I love to travel, and we love to travel together. We go scuba diving at least twice a year and while on vacation I'm know for starting to plan for the next vacation before I return from the one that I'm currently on.
I love traveling so much that I am happy staying five star hotels, but I am equally happy staying in a grass huts. As long as I get to go, I'm happy.
