Kathleen's Story
After graduation I joined the military like everyone else in my family..While I was stationed in Germany I met my future husband there... He re-enlisted for 6 years and I got out..We were stationed in Ft Stewart Georgia where I had my first son Billy ( he will be 29 this Oct)..Shortly after that my husband was sent over to korea and I was unable to acompany him so I had to remain there in Georgia with my son for a year...Upon his return he was stationed in Ft Riley Kansas...About the time he was thinking of getting out we decided to go visit his uncle who lived in Iowa one Christmas and he told his Uncle of his plans to get out of the Army...His uncle talked him into moving up to Iowa where he was promised a job on the Railroad....We took the plunge and moved up there and after 2 years my husband finally got hired out on the SOO LINE RR...S...Expand for more
ince he was newly hired we had to move around a lot between Iowa and Illinois...In October of 1996 I gave birth to my second son Nicholas(Nacho)who is now 16...When he was 8 months old The railroad decided to sell their tracks in Iowa so we were forced to move again and ended up in Terre Haute Indiana..In August of 1998 I gave birth to my Daughter Haley who is now 14....My oldest son is to be married this June to a wonderful girl Alexis..Between the two of them they have given me 3 wonderful Grandchildren..My oldest is Caden and she turned 6 in August, My second Granddaughter is Austyn and she turned 5 in October of last year and my Grandson Declan was born on September 24 2011...I so enjoy being a stay at home Mother and only wish we never had to leave Indiana but again my Husband's job sold out again and we had to move up to Wisconsin..
