Kathleen's Story
Life
I am married to a former EHS grad of 1967 Leon Lawson for over 37 years and we have a married daughter Clarissa Lawson Shank and a married Son Chad L. Lawson, who all live in the Phoenix area as well. We have 5 grandchildren and have resided in the Phoenix, AZ area since moving here in 1985. I graduated from ESU in 1970 with a BS in Bus. Admin. We lived in Emporia from 1975 to 1985 and while there I was the School Secretary at William Allen White School and Leon was a framing carpenter and builder. Since moving to AZ I have been an office manager for a landscape company for 7 years and currently retired from Grand Canyon Title Agency. where I was A Branch Manager and Sr. Escrow Officer after 13 years in that industry. Leon is currently the owner of L & L Home Builders and does a lot of backhoe work.

d recreation we both have a horse and mule which we use for pleasure riding, packing and hunting. We own a home 25 miles north of Phoenix in an area called Desert Hills. Our home and horse set up is on an acre. We love Arizona for the diversity of the magnificent Sonoran Desert and the mighty mountains of which we are only 1½ hrs. away from and can view from our property. We can haul the horses up out of the heat in summer to ride comfortably in the forest or go to the ski areas in Flagstaff or the White Mountains to the east. It is a great life style out here and we continue to love it.
Several years ago we bought a motor home and along with our ATV's and Sea Ray Cabin cruiser we take time to enjoy the lakes close by with our family.

I am retired from the Escrow and Title Industry since August of 2006.
