Kathlene's Story
Life
I've wandered all over the place since graduating, from Bellevue to Ft Collins (CO), Des Moines (IA), Syracuse (NY), a three month camping trip throughout the West, and now stuck in southern NJ for the past 14 years. I collected an oceanographic degree along the way, but haven't used it, and served briefly in the USMC (big mistake!). I've worked in hotels, in a Greyhound garage, a long distance company, and am now rooted at a Lockheed Martin naval facility.
I've never married but I have two surrogate children (son and daughter) that I see about twice a year. I just bought my first house in 2003 and have filled it with 7 cats, 2 dogs, 3 ferrets, 2 hedgehogs and ...Expand for more
a roommate. Money is still not important to me so of course I'm pretty poor.
I still read and write a lot (no longer in Latin though), and am still pretty quiet, although much more social than I was in high school. I have a jewelry making business and an organizing business, although I've had to hire an organizer for my own house. Go figure. I'm still pleasing plump but looking rather young for my age. (As long as people keep saying that in 20 years!) All in all, it's been a pretty quiet life, about what my peers probably thought I would achieve. In between gardening and lying around the house, I'm learning Japanese and Swedish, and working toward a Comp Sci degree.
