Feeling nostalgic after losing both of my parents this year. Wondering about old friends. I won't know who signs my guestbook (I only have the ghetto membership and I refuse to pay for the 'Gold')-

My past in a nutshell:
Had a kid (Evan, 1984).
Got married 1987 (Paul Burke, class of '82).
Moved to NYC 1989; Lived in Greenwich Village where I sang professional opera on-and off for 15 years while raising my kid.
Got separated.
Got back together.
Lived through 9/11 (saw it with my own eyes).
Moved to Queens.
Went back to college.
Decided to become a nurse, but changed my mind.
Moved to Long Island.
Went blonde.
Bought a house.
Graduated with a degree in Bioscience Research (Magna Cum ...Expand for more
Laude, thank you very much...that's for those of you who remember my less-than-stellar performance in high school, including my Senior year encore...Yay for us late-bloomers!
Now watching my son (a musician, too) get through college.
Basically, I'm a singing scientist with an unnatural attraction to frogs, genetics and molecular biology.
I work for a company in Stony Brook, NY that produces cell lines for genetic research.
Trying to make peace with living in the suburbs of Long Island...may not be for me...Life is good, but I'm itching to see what happens next..." Discontentment breeds adventure", so they say.
Mid-life crisis? Bring it on, baby! Where do we go from here?
