Kathryn's Story
Life
I live in Atlanta, married at age 38 a presidential historian (specialties: Jefferson and Carter) who is at the Carter Center, and am mother of 14-year-old Joseph, whom we adopted at birth in the Amazon in Brazil. I've been home for the last fourteen years, wonderful after years working as a fund-raising consultant.
Favorite reading: C.S. Lewis, Paul Theroux, Anita Brookner, Tom Wolfe, Jane Austen, Barbara Pym, poetry, biography, autobiography, diaries, and letters. P...Expand for more

Interests: writing, piano, drawing, cooking, perfume, estate sales, studying maps, decorating, genealogy, French and English things, Colonial America, antique linens, collecting natural artifacts, making a pleasant home, and having a really good laugh.
Absolutely no interest whatsoever in: sports. Except basketball. And who doesn't love to watch ice skating?
Admire most: those who live sacrificial lives. I aspire to that, and fail miserably.
