Kathryn's Story
Life
Hi! Immediately after I graduated in 1986, I joined the Army, and you can see my history there in my military profile. At the end of my enlistment, I went to the Persian Gulf War. After that, I got out and went to two colleges back to back (see "college" profile). Then I tried to go to work as a Veterinary Technician (like a nurse for a vet), but that didn't work out for me. I tried various jobs after that, like an airport shuttle driver, maid, industrial temp and security guard. I had a boyfriend in Seattle who suggested we go to Idaho to start a family care home (we were planning to get married), but that fell through and we split up. om Priest River down to Hayden, near Couer d'Alene. I've been living here for the last 4 years as I attended EWU and got my Bachelor's in Education this year. I have been married to a different man now for about 3-1/2 years, and we have a beautiful 2-1/2 year old daughter, Siobhan (pronounced "sha-vonne" - it's Irish). We have one cat, a beautiful Snowshoe named Coco. I am currently searching for a teaching job (I teach Special Education) but it's not easy. I broke my big toe/foot this summer at my place of work - a forklift operator accidentally dumped a 2,000 lb. stack of sheet metal onto my foot. I was out of work for about 2 mos. I look forward to seeing everyone at the 20 year class reunion next summer! See ya!
