Kathryn's Story
Life
I got married in 1972 to Trent Martin who was born and raised in Nebraska. When we got married he was stationed on a submarine ported in Groton. He got out of the Navy in 1974 and we moved to Nebraska. Both of our girls were born in Nebraska. In 1990 we moved to the northwest suburb area of Chicago and have lived in that area since. I have worked as a secretary both full time and part time over the last 30 years. At this time I am not working for pay but I am involved in different volunteer programs. men etc. are here. Out oldest daughter, Karolyn, is 23 and just moved into a town home a couple towns over. She is employed by a new home builder and selling new construction for them. Our youngest daughter, Kirsten, is 20 and still lives at home. She is going to the local Junior College and is also apprenticing to be a show horse trainer. We moved into a new house last October and have been busy finishing the basement etc. Some of my favorite things to do are: horseback riding (English saddle & jumping too), bowling, golf, reading and going to the movies. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends at the reunion.
