Let's see...In a nutshell...I was a nurse 1965-1973. I left nursing in 1973, went back to college at the University of Connecticut majoring in biology then went on to the Univ. of Massacusetts for Master's and PhD degrees in Fisheries and Wildlife. During my 4 years at Univ of CT I met Randy Converse and we married 4 years later while in Massachusetts and had our first daughter. The three of us moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1985 and we are still here in the same house. We adopted our second daughter in 1989. I worked for the US Dept. of the Interior as a wildlife Disease Specialist. Most recently I worked on West Nile virus, chronic wasting disease and avian influenza. I retired in 2007.
