Kathryn's Story
SEP 2008: Living in Georgia (near Savannah) with my husband & very happy. We've been working on stuff around the house (inside & out). Kimberly & Brandon are still in Mississippi. Aaron & Sara are here in Georgia with us. Five cats and two dogs total in the household. Life is good and we are trying to enjoy it the best that we can.
Take care & God Bless.
Kathy
Life
Currently a single parent of four children -- two girls and two boys, ages are from nine to nineteen.
My oldest, Kimberly graduated from HS this Spring 2005. Brandon completed his GED in March 2005. Aaron is 15 and Sara is nine (with Straight A's).
We have three cats in the house, plus four kittens for now. The older two kittens have been adopted by my stepfather. He's working on a renovation project for me, and enjoying not having to endure a harsh NY winter. We have no family in this immediate area -- my brother lives in Dallas, TX (7-8 hours from here).
For now, we are living in MS, and will be here thru the current school year of 2005-2006. I just retired from Navy Active Duty, as of 01 March 2006. I am looking to get back to school and finish up my degree for more stability and new options.
Recently, I had an opportunity to visit with an old friend from DHS. What a blast! It was long overdue....and, really enjoyable. I was definitely impressed. Now, I am attempting to get a decent job to keep my finances from getting completely messed up.
Thanks for looking up my information. KEH (T) - 29 March 2006 :)
College
I completed several college courses and have loads of training and experience. Unfortunately, it has not been applied to a degree yet. But, that is something that I hope to rectify in the very near future.
My field of interest is in Medicine and Emergency Care/Treatment.
I plan to continue in Medical ...Expand for more
areas.
Workplace
My work has brought me to Central Mississippi. I work at the Military Entrance Processing Station, and am in charge of the Medical Section. My job entails supervising all medical processing for all "new applicants" wishing to join the Military. It also involves supervising both military and civilian personnel -- a unique challenge.
After FEB 2006, I am not sure where I may head to actually settle down.
We will not move until the school year is complete, which gives me a little bit of time to weigh all of the options.
Military
YES!!! I got a surprising idea, and persued it -- into the ACTIVE DUTY NAVY. If anyone had predicted that I would have gone into the Military when I was in school, I would have laughed. And, yet........it has almost been 20 years already! I stayed beyond the initial four year enlistment because of my family.
